World of Outlaws Late Model driver Shane Clanton made the trip to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night worth his while as he took both the pole and the victory in the Super Late Model Feature.
While Clanton took a comfortable lead, the rest of the top five was unsure until the checkered flag fell. Only two cautions interrupted the action before Clanton flew across the finish line, with Jody Knowles, Chip Brindle, Luke Jenkins and Doug Stephens completing the top five.
Super Late Model rookie Mike McConnell raced his way to sixth ahead of 2011 Track Champion Michael Page with Gary McPherson, Jason Croft and Ricky Williams trailing behind for the eighth thru tenth positions.
In other action, Mark Bunch visited victory lane Saturday night in the Limited Late Model feature for the first time since 2004. Positions second to fifth however changed several times before Michael Brewer grabbed second and held it until the checkers followed by Chris Fennell, Oliver Gentry and Cass Fowler.
Craig Reece took his first career win at Dixie in the Crate Late Model feature, holding off Darel Owenby and Billy Coley for the victory. Kyle Lowery and Cole Davis rounded out the top five.
