Mobile International Speedway in Irvington, AL, is back in action on Saturday night for an Easter weekend spectacular, with the first night of heat and feature races for all Divisions this season. The Island Motor II Bombers, Bob’s Speed Shop Sportsman, and Praytor Realty Super Stocks-Trucks will all be in action.
All three weekly classes will run up to three heats, bookended by a 15-lap Bombers feature, 20-lap Sportsman feature and a 25-lap Super Stocks-Trucks feature.
Jay Jay Day finished fourth in the season-opener for the Praytor Realty Super Stocks-Trucks and was locked in a heated battle with Chopper Stagner for the best finishing Truck.
“There’s a lot more competition with the addition of Trucks to the Super Stock division and there’s a lot of pride at steak to be the best Truck in the field,” Day said.
Day is moving up from the bombers division and is competing for rookie-of-the-year honors. He doesn’t expect to win every race, but best of the trucks is a worthy consolation prize for the 23-year old.

David Salisbury is making his first start of the season on Saturday Night, and should have one of the more competitive Trucks in the field. He’s spent months preparing for this date and is expecting nothing less than a shootout at Alabama’s Fastest Half-mile.
“The competition Rick has assembled for the Trucks is really impressive,” Salisbury said. “Toss in the Super Stock guys and it’s really hard to be the best. We’ve spent a lot of hours in the shop preparing to win races and we’re going to put on a fantastic show.”
The night will also feature a visit from the Easter Bunny, bicycle races, and ice cream for the kids, presented by Blue Bell Ice Cream. Kids must have a helmet to participate in the bicycle races.
