Ashton Higgins became the first new face in victory lane in Limited Late Model competition at Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night.

In the previous two race weekends at the Williamston, South Carolina track, Neil Meredith was the winner.

But on Good Friday, it was Higgins snapping the win streak by scoring the victory on the 3/8-mile paved oval.

The Weaverville, North Carolina racer started the race from the third position, worked his way to the point and went on to record the win. Jock White came home in second, with Justin Sorrow in third, Austin Somero in fourth, and Archie Adams in fifth.

Meredith’s bid for three straight feature wins saw him roll home with a 13th place finish.

In other action, Riley Gentry topped the BM Modifieds field to score the win. Kaden Howard finished in second, with Chuck Mitchell in third, Rodger Gentry in fourth, and Bryan Mitchell in fifth.

David Darnell scored his second straight Mini Stock feature victory, beating out Chad Campbell for the win, with B.J. Thrasher in third, Jeffrey Kummer in fourth, and Ryan Howard in fifth.

Mitchell Thompson edged out John Harrison to take the win in the US Legends feature. John Harrison, Scott Wessel, Salvador Jimenez, and Damon Burdette rounded out the top five.

Robin Darnell was first to the finish line to win the Pure Stocks feature, with Bobby Emory, Jr. in second, Mike Mote in third, Danny Gilbert in fourth, and Mark Sullivan in fifth.

Allen Porter was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Joshua Porter followed in second, with Scott Parker in third and Austin Harvey in fourth.

Anderson Motor Speedway returns to action on Saturday, April 23, as the raceway hosts the Southeast Super Truck Series. For more info, visit AndersonMotorSpeedway.com.
