Michael Page came home from Eastaboga, Alabama with an extra $10,000 payday in his pocket on Saturday night.
The Douglasville, Georgia racer scored the win in the B.J. Parker Memorial Governor’s Cup in Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series action at Talladega Short Track.
Page spent the first 56 laps of the event chasing leader Riley Hickman. But that changed when Hickman suffered a flag right-rear tire with four laps to go, as Page swept into the lead.
From there, Page went on to score the victory at the 1/3-mile dirt track.
Dalton Cook finished in second, with Austin Horton in third, Dylan Knowels in fourth and Josh Adkins in fifth.
Eli Beets, Blake Craft, Dallas Cooper, Payton Freeman and Dillon Tidmore rounded out the top 10.
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, August 21 at I-75 Raceway in Niota, Tennessee. For more information, visit SASDirt.com.
