Ronnie Johnson Tops Late Models For Boyd’s Victory

It was a hometown hero scoring the victory at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday night.

Veteran racer Ronnie Johnson from Chattanooga, Tennessee powered to the Late Model victory at the 3/8-mile clay raceway, which sits right on the state line between Georgia and Tennessee.

Johnson outdistanced Andy Pickelsimer for the win, recording his second feature victory of the season at Boyd’s.

Jason Trammell followed in third, with Josh Walker in fourth and Tate McCollum in fifth.

Tod Hernandez, Dewayne Powell, Justin Owens, Chuck Christopher and Robby Mason rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Jake Rainey edged out Jamie Perry for the 604 Crate feature victory. Jesse Love finished in third, with Logan Palmer in fourth and A.J. Carlisi in fifth.

Sawyer Tinker was the winner in the 602 Sportsman feature. Cass Fowler finished second, with Colsen Cochran third, Dylan Perry fourth, and Matt Steward fifth.

Johnny Hughes topped the B-Hobby field to take the feature win, with Jim Gilbert in second, Dylan Johnson in third, Chris William in fourth and Sam Jones in fifth.

Michael Courtney was first under the checkered flag to win the Pony feature, with Dan Duggan, Josh McKee, Tommy Faulkner and Austin Lankford rounded out the top five.

Brennan Shirley scored the victory in the Beginner feature. Cameron Flowers followed in second, with Christian Varner in third, Kelby Norwood in fourth, and Cody Newton in fifth.

Nathan Adams was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Cody Rector in second, Billy Bailey in third, Tyler Walton in fourth, and Jack Gresham in fifth.
