In one of the most spirited battles seen at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway this season, Aaron Criswell edged out John Anderson by inches to score the Modified Street feature victory at the ¼-mile clay raceway on Saturday night.
Criswell jumped to the early lead, with Anderson moving quickly to second. The action was broken up when the only caution of the event flew moments later when two cars spun off of turn two.
Back under green, Criswell moved back to the point, with Anderson in hot pursuit.
The duo battled back and forth over the remainder of the feature, with Anderson getting alongside Criswell time and again, only to see Criswell gain the advantage racing off of the corners on the outside.
With one lap to go, Anderson again moved alongside Criswell as the two raced off turn 2, with the two staying side-by-side as they raced through turns 3 and 4. The two remained alongside each other as they raced down to the checkered flag, with Criswell beating Anderson to the finish line by inches.
Jordan Poole finished third, with Quik McCannon fourth and Tyler Canup fifth.
In other action, Ken Lampp took the win in the Limited Late Model feature, with Alex Yarbrough in second and Nick Sellers in third.
Nick Sellers took the win in the Hobby feature. Tyler Wood, Randy Jackson, William Booth and Jamie Anderson rounded out the top five.
Wormy Gaddis topped the Stock V8 field to score the feature victory, with Justin Taylor in second, Scotty Cox in third, and Mark Chancy in fourth.
Allen Cantrell was the winner in the Stock 4A feature. Matt Garrin followed in second, with Damon Harrison in third, Roger Cothran in fourth and Austin Robinson in fifth.
Charles Earnest scored the Stock 4B feature win, with Brian Shaw second, Adam Jones third, James Ellenberg fourth and Robert Booth fifth.
