Ken Lampp dusted the Limited Late Model field on Saturday to start the 2021 season at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway in a familiar spot – victory lane.

The Winder, Georgia racer scored the win at the ¼-mile clay raceway in the track’s season opener by about a five second margin of victory in a feature that went caution free.

Lampp started the feature on the outside of the front row, alongside pole sitter Brandon Roberts. On the drop of the green flag, the two battled side-by-side through turns one and two, with Lampp pulling to the lead off the second turn as the field thundered down the backstretch.

Roberts tried to keep pace with Lampp, but came under fire from third place runner Nick Sellers. With those two battling for the runner-up spot, Lampp was able to drive away from the field.

With the race running incident free, Lampp continued to build his advantage all the way to the checkered flag. Behind him, Roberts and Sellers continued to fight for second, with Roberts holding on to get the position.

Alex Yarbrough finished in fourth, with Chris Woods in fifth.

In other action, Chase Lampp took the win in the Hobby feature, with Nick Sellers finishing in second.

Chad Puckett scored the victory in the Modified Street feature. Jordan Poole followed in second, with Aaron Criswell in third and Shawn Tullis in fourth.

Puckett doubled up on the night by also taking the win in the Stock V8 feature. Mark Chancey, Trey Pilgram, Jr. Carter and Cody Peppers rounded out the top five.
