Ryan Howard Takes Limited Late Model Win At Anderson

It took a few extra weeks, but Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina finally got its regular season opened up on Saturday night.

Ryan Howard raced to the victory in the Limited Late Model feature, as the Pelzer, South Carolina racer drove from the second starting spot to the win at the 3/8-mile asphalt raceway.

Archie Adams followed in second, with Justin Southerlin in third, pole sitter Chris Whitfield in fourth and Andrew Cordell in fifth.

Jacob York, Jeff Allen, Jimmy Motes, Brian Konopka and Luke Fox rounded out the top 10 finishers.

In other action, Bryan Mitchell edged out Chuck Mitchell for the win in the BM Modifieds feature. Trent Smith followed in third, with Tim Catoe in fourth.

David Darnell scored the victory in the Mini-Stocks feature, with Chuck Mitchell in second, Austin Northcutt in third, Jeff Turner in fourth and Chad Campbell in fifth.

Caleb Heady topped the US Legends field to take the feature win. Colin Brown, Karl Moberg, Russell Shore and Brandon Johnson rounded out the top five.

Scott Parker took the victory in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Tyler Woodering following in second. Robert Hall finished third, followed by Allen Porter in fourth and Joshua Thomason in fifth.

Alex Guthrie was the winner in the Pure Stocks feature. Rodger Gentry finished in second, with Al Rector in third and Chase Plesko in fourth.
