Polston Powers To Dixie Steelhead Late Model Victory

With the Super Late Models off for the night, the Steelhead/525 division took center stage at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia for Saturday night’s School’s Out Bash.

Dalton Polston of Douglasville, Georgia took the pole, led every lap and crossed the finish line by a straightaway over Cass Fowler to be flagged the winner.

Polston then survived a post-race protest in tech to officially secure the victory.

Fowler was second, while Dale Thurman finished in third, followed by Justin Shipley in fourth and Ronnie Johnson in fifth.

Logan Palmer led the way for his first win of the season over Colby Kilgore in the Crate Late Model feature. After a seven year absence from racing, David Eubanks brought his new racer home in third place ahead of Jake Pilgrim in fourth and Jimmy Price in fifth.

Colten Jackson made his first appearance of the year at Dixie Speedway and took the top spot in the 602 Sportsman feature. Jonathan Martin finished in second, with Chris Hough in third, Daniel Brewer in fourth and Spencer Singleton in fifth.

Justin Begley made his way around Dan Meadows to score his second straight Economy Bomber win. Randy Smith, Dylan Armstrong and Shane Duncan rounded out the top five.

After knocking on the door to victory lane in the Street Stingers the last couple of seasons, Rick Ricks finally got his first career win at Dixie Speedway. Jason Young followed in second, with James Drummond in third, Mike Roberson in fourth and Robert Brannen in fifth.
