With a group of speedway legends on hand, Jason Croft sped to the victory in Saturday night’s “Good Ol’ Days” race at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.

Track paid tribute to the past with several past competitors on hand, including Georgia Racing Hall of Famers Jody Ridley, Charles Hughes, Jabez Jones, Ricky Williams, Leon “Slick” Sells, and track owner Micky Swims, along with Wade Knowles, Bobby Turner and many others, as well as vintage cars in action.

In feature action, Croft, from Woodstock, Georgia, took his Super Late Model to the high side in the waning laps and went from third to first in a single lap to take the victory. Dawsonville, Georgia’s Donald McIntosh did not give the spot up easily, as he stayed right on Croft’s back bumper.

But McIntosh soon came under fire himself from Tyler Millwood, and had to work to the end to hold on to the second position. Millwood settled for third ahead of Gary McPherson in fourth and Justin Shipley in fifth.

Jake Knowles led the way in the Steelhead/525 feature, but all eyes were on Dalton Polston as he started close to the back of the field and raced his way all the way to second place. Cruz Skinner finished in third, trailed by Oliver Gentry in fourth and Joseph Brown in fifth.

In the Crate Late Model feature, Don Jenkins to the victory over Bobby Richey, Jr. T.J. Brittain came home in third, followed by Tate Nichelson in fourth, and Dustin Rogers in fifth.

Daniel Brewer took the Sportsman win after Ryan King refused to tear down after being protested. This moved Jonathan Martin, Drew Larson, Rob Johnson, and Matthew Knight up one position each to complete the top five.

Eric Hamby took the win in the Economy Bomber feature, followed in second by Randy Smith in second, Dylan Armstrong in third, Justin Begley in fourth and Joe Trantham in fifth.

Kenny Clark scored the Street Stingers feature win, with Cody Holmes second, Jason Young third, Larry Whitlow fourth and Daniel Turner fifth.

The Pony Class made their return to the Speedway after several years absence, with Chris Little taking the win. Ryan Boles finished in second, followed by JoJo Morgan in third, Mike Little in fourth and Russell Little in fifth.

Dixie Speedway returns to action on Saturday, September 1, as the track hosts the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Models. Dixie’s sister track, Rome Speedway, will host the series the following night, Sunday, September 2.
