Charlie Watson and Ryan Millington both made trips to Victory Lane at North Carolina’s historic Hickory Motor Speedway, as both scored wins in a pair of features for the Bojangles Late Models.
In the first feature, Millington grabbed the lead from the pole over Thomas Beane, but Beane would take the lead away with an outside move. Watson was on the charge from his fourth place starting spot, and took the lead around lap 10.
From there, Watson went on to score his fourth straight Late Model feature victory. Millington finished in second, with Anthony Alfredo in third, Ty Gibbs in fourth and Omar Jurado in fifth.
In the second Late Model feature, a ten car inversion of the finish of the first race put Juan Gonzales and Jake Ruggles on the front row. The duo would race side-by-side for a couple of laps before Jonathan Findley made his move towards the front. Contact between the leaders send them spinning, with Findley’s car coming to rest on top of Gonzales’s ride. Neither driver was injured.
On the restart, Beane and Gibbs brought the field back to green, but another caution a lap and a half later sent Gibbs’ car to the sidelines for the rest of th engiht.
On the next restart, it was Millington and Watson bringing the field back to the green flag. The duo swapped the lead several times before Millington made the final pass for the lead. From there, Millington went on to score the victory, with Watson in second, Beane in third, Jake Crum in fourth and Findley in fifth.
