Jacobson Holds Off Challengers For SLM Win At Boyd’s

It was a hot night of Super Late Model racing at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia, as the Volunteer Racing Series took to the historic dirt track last Friday.

When the checkered flag fell, it was Eric Jacobson scored the victory, holding off Riley Hickman for the victory.  Chip Brindle came home third, followed by David Payne in fourth and Tim Busha in fifth.

In other action, Jeff Smith picked up the win in the Crate Late Model feature.  Jason Welshan finished second, with Rick Hixon third, Robby Mason fourth and Craig Burrows fifth.

In the A-Hobby feature, Blake Armitage held off all challenges to grab the win.  Booger Brooks ran second, with Dewayne Wilson, Len McNeese and Steve Tate rounding out the top five.

Jimmy Smith was first to the checkered flag in the B-Hobby feature to score the victory.  Dallas Brooks ran second, with Tim Totherow third, Corey Sanders fourth and Brandon Francis fifth.

In the Front Runner feature, Thomas Gilbert topped the field for the win.  Hailey Cresswell finished second, followed by Daniel Burnett, Richard Hickman and Jared Blevins.
