Chris Ferguson led flag-to-flag to score Friday night’s Whitey Whitesides Memorial race for the Ultimate Super Late Model Series at Travelers Rest Speedway in Travelers Rest, SC.
Ferguson, from Mount Holly, North Carolina, started the event from the pole after setting fast time in qualifying, and held off Dennis Franklin to score the $4,000 victory.
It mark’s his third win of the season and his second on the Ultimate Super Late Model Series tour for the year.
Franklin held on to finish in second, with Brett Hamm in third, Brent Dixon in fourth and Kenny Collins in fifth.
Ross Bailes, Anthony Sanders, Josh Langley, Scott Shirey and Doug Sanders rounded out the top ten.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series returns to action on June 2 with a $5,000 to win event at Georgetown Speedway in Georgetown, Delaware.
