Twenty-year-old Cody Coughlin picked up his second straight ARCA/CRA Super Series victory Saturday night in the Anderson 125 at Indiana’s Anderson Speedway.
Coughlin and Dalton Armstrong put the crowd on their feet with some hard door-to-door racing before Coughlin finally took control over the last 40 laps to get the win.
“I’ve wanted to win here at Anderson for a while now, because it has given us fits in the past,” Coughlin said in victory lane. “It’s just really cool to get this second straight win, I am so blessed to be able to do this. I have to thank my crew chief Jack Smith and my entire crew for the hard work they put in to this win and my family for always supporting me.”
Coughlin added to his current series championship points lead with the win after three point’s events so far in 2016.
Armstrong finished in second, with Zane Smith in third, Dennis Prunty in fourth and Trent Snyder in fifth.
Sargeant, Jordan Pruitt, Thomas Woodin, Wes Griffith, Jr. and Rick Turner rounded out the top ten.
