‘Hot Rod’ LaMance Hustles To Fifth Lavonia FASTRAK Win

Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance powered his way to the front of the FASTRAK Pro Late Model field Friday night, then held off Andrew Cole to score the victory at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.

It marked victory number five on the season for the veteran wheelman from Six Mile, SC, who is the defending division champion at the 3/8 mile clay speedway.

David McCoy finished in third, with Nathan Bray in fourth and Kenny Collins in fifth.

In other action, Clayton Turner held off the “Hog Rocket”, Bubba Russell, to score the Limited Late Model feature win. Chris Wood ran third, followed by Eric Johnson in fourth and Mike Ashley in fifth.

Phillip Burton topped the Modified Street feature to pick up the victory. Louis Tetrault finished in second, with Michael Segars third, Keith Baker fourth and Terry Brown fifth.

Shane Yarbrough took the win in the Hobby Stock feature, with Mitchell Godfrey in second, Chris McKeehan in third and Holton Bradshaw in fourth.

Kevin Kelly was the winner in the Stock 4 feature. Brandon Elliott, Chris Little, Brandon Long and Michael Foster rounded out the top five.

Nathan Bowen was first across the finish line for the Rookie 4 feature, with Matthew Furgerson in second, Daniel Woods in third and Triston Collins in fourth.

Wayne Chapman took the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Michael Elrod in second.

Lavonia Speedway will take the next weekend off before returning to action on Friday, July 3. For more info, LavoniaSpeedway.net.
