Champions Crowned In Anderson 2014 Season Finale

WILLIAMSTON, SC – R.A. Brown finished the 2014 season at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC in a familiar place Friday night – victory lane.

Brown swept both Late Model Stock features to score his fifth and sixth victories of the season at the speedway of the year.

In the opener, Brown outdistanced Randy Porter to score the win. David Roberts finished in third, with Kenneth Headen in fourth and Justin Sorrow in fifth.

In the second feature, Brown edged out Sorrow for the victory, with Marietta, GA’s Kyle Plott in third, Robertsin fourth and Headen in fifth.

While Brown celebrates the wins, it was Simponville, SC’s David Roberts who took home the division championship for the 2014 season.

In other action, Douglasville, GA’s Casey Tucker sprinted to the victory in the BM Modified feature, with Brandon Segars in second, Shon Gibosn in third, Matt Meyer in fourth and Adam Satterfield in fifth. Meyer’s fourth place finish was enough to lock up the division championship.

Lee Jordan beat out Elberton, GA’s Cory Parham to scored the Legends feature win. Julia Landauer crossed the finish line in third, followed by Karl Moberg in fourth and Danny Cisson in fifth. Rex Brown came home with the division championship.

David Darnell scored the victory in the Mini Stock feature, with Luke Sorrow in second, Trace Embry in third, and Ben Kay in fourth. Chad Campbell finished in fifth, wrapping up the Mini Stock championship.

Shawn Campbell scored the Renegade feature victory, edging out Andrew Cordell for the top spot. Billy Brown, Chris Whitfield and Chad Watt rounded out the top five. Steve Guthrie finished in seventh, tying up the division championship.

In Super Renegades, it was Randy Ballew scored the win, with Ricky Kelley in second, Michael Mote in third, Billy Coker in fourth and Ted Somero, the division champion, in fifth.

Brian King rounded out the 2014 season with a victory in the Front Wheel Drive feature, along with taking the division championship. Donovan Beacham finished in second, with Brandi Presnell in third, C.J. Huitt in fourth and Scott Parker in fifth.
