HARTWELL, GA – David McCoy did what he’s done best this year – he beat the competition to add another Limited Late Model victory to his already impressive tally this year with a win Saturday night at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.
McCoy outdistanced Jimmy Johnson for the victory, with Bubba Russell rolling home in third, Drew Collins in fourth and Wesley English in fifth.
McCoy came up one position short of a Late Model sweep, as Dale Timms beat him out for the SECA Late Model victory. Ashley Poole finished in third, with Nick Dietz in fourth and Adam Smith in fifth.
In other action, Jeffery Woods grabbed the victory in the Hobby Stock feature. Nick Sellers came home in second, with Robin Collins in third, Rod Roberts in fourth and Mitchell Godfrey in fifth.
Tyler Cannup was the winner in the Modified Street feature, with Aaron McIntosh in second, Michael Segars in third, Daniel Doster in fourth and Jennifer Everett in fifth.
George Fortson scored the Stock V8 victory, with Rocky Jones in second, Terry Brown in third and Cal Moon in fourth.
J.J. Garrett topped the Stock Four Cylinder field to pick up the feature victory, with Brent Couch, Ryan Boles, Mason Tucker and Shane Strickland rounding out the top five.
Jessica Still grabbed the victory in the Young Guns feature. Jeremy Hicks ran second, followed by Nathan Bowen in third.
Keith Hicks took home top honors in the Up Front feature. Wayne Chapman finished in second, with Seth Brown in third, Joel Powell in fourth and Stacy Foster in fifth.
Hartwell Speedway returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 20, with a full race program featuring a $1,200 to win Limited Late Model All Star Challenge that also pays double points.
