TAMPA, FL – Travis Varnadore picked up his first Gage’s Open Wheel Modified feature win Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, driving for Bobby Dixon. Buzzie Reutimann finished in the second spot while Jerry Bruce, Jr. finished third, with Kyle Bronson in fourth and Nate Bregenzer in fifth.
In other action, the Outlaw Fours feature event went to Raymond Rogers, Jr. as he made it back to back wins. Rogers, Jr. took over on lap six as leader Brian Barse broke an engine ending his night. Nick Hebrank finished second, with Zach Amundsen in third, Brandon Yates fourth and Mark Moniz fifth.
Billy Boyd, Jr. took over on lap two and went on to win his third East Bay Sprint feature of the season. Johnny Alexander would come home second with Kurt Taylore third. Kurt Taylor finished fourth and Tim George was fifth.
Chad Mears was the winner in the Sunshine Micro Sprints feature, his very first feature victory. Dorsey Strickland surrendered the lead with just two laps remaining and Dustin Cates finished third. Wade Evans and Justan Rogers rounded out the top five.
Patrick Fiore, Sr. picked up the wins in both Four Cylinder Bomber features. He was able to hold off Bailey Purcell and George Handy in the first feature while Handy and Purcell finished second and third in the second feature.
