WOODSTOCK, GA – Dawsonville, GA’s Donald McIntosh moved to the front of the 25 car Super Late Model field, and held off all comers to score the win in the annual Bill Ingram Memorial race at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night.

The race is run in honor of former track champion and Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Bill Ingram, who passed away in 1999.

McIntosh made his way to the front of the pack in the early laps and led the way to the checkered flag. Other than dealing with lapped traffic, McIntosh was never seriously challenged. Meanwhile, the race for the rest of the top five were up for grabs the entire distance. With several position changes throughout the feature, Jake Knowles finally made his way into second. He began to gain ground on the leader, but ran out of laps and settled for second. Pole sitter Johnny Chastain held on for a third place finish while Ray Cook made his way to fourth from deep in the pack. Ricky Williams rounded out the top five.

In other action, long time competitor Don Jenkins found his way to victory lane in the Steelhead Late Model feature. Oliver Gentry tucked in behind Jenkins and went on to finish second. Eric Granger finished third, with Michael Brewer in fourth and Chris Fennell in fifth.

The Crate Late Models held their first Championship race of the year that would see Shane Smith looking to take his first ever Crate feature win. That change went away when he bobbled just a bit, allowing Zack Pilcher to make his move with two laps remaining. Pilcher passed Smith with a bit of bumping in turn three to take the win. This move also allowed T.J. Reaid to pass Smith for second, leaving Smith in third. Maddie Crane finished fourth with Ted Minnix in fifth.

Justin Begley looked to have the Super Bomber feature locked up until distributor problems sidelined him, giving the lead and the win to Terry Vollrath. Randall Powell made his way from a rear starting spot to finish second followed by Andy Morris, Richard Bagby and Tom Watson.

It was a rough and tumble night in the Economy Bomber feature that would see heavy damage to several cars in a frontstretch wreck. Cody Czobat got the win after the apparent winner failed post race inspection. Tyler Williams threaded his way thru spinning cars and debris to finish second followed by Austin Smith in third, Gooch Spriggs in fourth and Jesse Goss in fifth.

Starting deep in the field of Pony Stock racers, Jake Jones raced his way through the field to gain the lead and go on to his first win of the season. Mitchell Pope made his way into second followed by C.J. Dettmar in third, Ronnie Faucett in fourth and Matt Thompson in fifth.

Todd Lankster took the Cruiser feature.
