After a long winter’s nap, Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA roared back to life in full force Saturday, as Chad Finchum swept both the Late Model Stock features.

Finchum qualified on pole for the first Late Model Stock Car feature. He would jump to an early lead when the green flag waved, and would pull to a safe advantage for the remaining laps.

Finchum would take the checkered flag in his first trip to LPR.

After winning the first LMSC race, Finchum would again have front row advantage for the second 40 lap feature.

Ryan Stiltner would grab the lead early on lap one. Finchum would then charge hard to the inside of the No. 22. The two would race door-to-door for three laps until Finchum cleared Stiltner exiting turn four.

The remaining laps would go caution free and lean in favor of the No. 19, as Finchum would claim the victory again.

Kirby Gobble rocketed to an early lead in the Street Stock feature. The caution would wave for the first time on lap seven for debris in turn one.

Gobble would choose the inside for the restart and again retake the lead.

Trouble ensued once again when the No. 11 of Sam Hurd was spun on the front stretch, tagging the inside wall, and ending his night. The incident would see the yellow flag displayed again.

Gobble would get the advantage on what would be the last start. No stranger to victory lane, Gobble would drive his No. 3 to the win.

Rocky Yates would power to the lead in what would become a very eventful Mod-4 feature.

The first yellow flag would wave early – on lap two – when Brian Hunt spun and hit the outside wall. Yates and David Brown battled hard on the restart. The duo raced side-by-side until the caution waved again for a spin in turn four.

With Brown forced to make an unexpected pit stop, Yates would take the lead on the restart.

A spin on the backstretch would force the yellow flag out once again. Yates would pull to the lead over Joshua Gobble’s No. 88. The race would remain under green, and Yates would take home the trophy.

John Ketron jumped to an early lead from his pole position in the 25 lap Pure-4 race.

Caution on lap three would slow the field. But back under green, Ketron would again take the lead.

Uncontested, Ketron would power his No. 26 to the win.

Duke Bare pulled away from the field on the start of the Pure Street race. The field would get another shot at Bare when the caution waved for a spin in turn one.

Bare and Orr battled head-to-head on the restart, with Bare powering to the lead over the No. 81. Bare drove to the victory in the 15 lap feature.

Aaron Ratliff would take the lead in the Iron Warrior feature early on, and would never look back, leading every lap en route to the victory.

John Farris took the lead on the opening lap of the Rookie Pure-4 race. Farris – in his first trip to The Pine – would lead every lap to claim the checkered flag.
