Jason Croft took the lead from the onset of the Super Late model feature Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA and led the way for his second win of the season.
Croft held off Dale Thurman for the first part of the race until Thurman began to fade. Croft then had his hands full, as newly crowned SLM track champ Donald McIntosh made every effort to pass for the lead. McIntosh made his way home in second followed by Shawn Chastain in third. Former driver and track champion Jody Summerville made the start tonight and patiently made his way into the top five for fourth while Cass Fowler passed Thurman in the closing lap for a fifth place finish.
When the green flew for the Limited Late Model feature, Chuck Padgett took the lead and one would have thought he was laying a smoke screen to cover his trail as his car poured large amounts of smoke for the first several laps before track officials were forced to throw the black flag due to the lack of visibility for drivers and fans alike. On the restart, Scottie Pritchett took the lead and went on to victory lane. Alan Brewer and son Michael staged a battle for second, running side by side and swapping the spot several times before Alan took over the spot for good, with Michael in third. Jimmy Price held on for fourth followed by Andy Morris in fifth.
Zach Pilcher grabbed the lead in the Crate Late Model feature, with Justin Shipley giving chase, as he tried to make the low line work. With the bottom not working, Shipley shifted to the high groove and was able to pass for the lead on lap, leaving Pilcher to settle for second. Evan Bell followed in third with Henry Ward and Thomas Grau in fourth and fifth.
