The start of the giant PASS doubleheader EVENT AT White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire was delayed by showers for a little more than half an hour Saturday night, but PASS and WMMP officials weathered the storm and completed the show just in time as showers moved into the area just moments after the final checkered flag of more than six hundred laps of racing came to a close.

The previously rained out PASS Super Late Model 150 rolled to the grid to start off the afternoon with Bryan Kruczek and Ben Rowe starting in the front row. Rowe got the early jump and looked to be strong in the early going. Doiron chased Rowe down, and made the pass on lap 34. The first caution of the day came on lap 53 for a minor spin.

When the green flew Doiron was off like a rocket ship and opened up a sizable until lapped traffic slow his momentum, allowing Derek Ranstrom to close in. Ranstrom turned up the heat on lap 127 as nobody appeared to be heeding the passing flag. Ranstrom had Canadian racer Karl Allard on his back bumper with Doiron a couple of car lengths ahead.

On lap 146 Ranstrom dove underneath a lapped car leaving Doiron hung out to dry three wide, but disaster struck the youngster from Worcester, MA as he had to lock up the brakes of his mount causing him to loop his car in front of the field, bringing out the final caution of the race. Doiron then coasted to victory lane ahead of Allard, Ben Rowe, David Oliver and DJ Shaw.

Richie Dearborn appeared to be the man to beat in the second PASS 150 as he led the first 60 laps of the event and appeared to be on cruise control until the caution flew on lap 58 as Ben Rowe and Karl Allard tangled on the frontstretch sending both cars to the infield. Rowe got the worst of that one as he tagged the infield light barrier knocking out his radiator, and sending him to the pits for repairs. Allard joined the field at the back, one lap down. Dearborn held on until lap 68 as Doiron made the winning pass on a slowing Dearborn. Cassius Clark was running strong but just didn’t have enough on the restart to pass Doiron. Clark had a mirror full of DJ Shaw to contend with as Doiron opened up a ten car length advantage and nobody had enough to reel in the 21 year old driver from Berwick, Maine. Doiron cruised to victory over Shaw, Clark, David Oliver and Derek Ranstrom. Doiron made a clean sweep of every race he was in as he and Dearborn claimed the qualifying rounds.

The PASS Modifieds also ran a pair of forty lap features. In the first round Mark Lucas was clearly the class of the field as he held off Andy Shaw, Mark Lundbland Jr., Ryan Phillips and Travis Buzzell. The race was cut short to 37 laps as a horrendous wreck at the flagstand saw Evan Armington coming to rest atop the No. 33 of Billy Dixon. Both drivers emerged from their cars with no injuries, and ironically both drivers started the second feature.

Rookie Joshua Brown led all 40 laps of the second main event to score his first career PASS Mod win. He was virtually unchallenged until the final couple of laps when Andy Shaw closed the gap. Brown held tough and picked up the victory over Shaw, Ron Henry, Lundbland Jr., and Scott McDaniell.

The PASS Super Late Models head across the border to Autodrome Chardiere this Saturday, September 7 for the final leg of the Autobus La Quebecoise Triple Crown Series, The Thunder Valley 200.
