It doesn’t matter if it’s on asphalt or on dirt, Chase Elliott has proven he knows how to handle a race car.
That was proven Friday night, as Elliott powered to his first dirt Crate Late Model victory in just his third start at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC.
Elliott beat out Jason Deal for the win. Steven Sofield finished third, with Brett Shook in fourth, and Anthony Rymer in fifth.
Elliott would turn around one night later and score a spirited victory in asphalt Pro Late Models at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA.
In other action, David Payne topped the field in the Super Late Model feature. Randy Nichols crossed the line in second, followed by Johnny Chastain in third, George Mashburn in fourth, and Danny Ledford in fifth.
In the Limited Late Model feature, Charlie Parker was first under the checkered flag for the win. Kevin Bradshaw finished second, with David Conley in third, Johnny Gulizia in fourth, and Andy Standridge in fifth.
Greg Sudderth scored the win in the Modified Street feature. Jeffrey Wood, Ronnie Wren, Charles Devine and Rusty Jordan rounded out the top five.
Doug Sellers came home with the victory in the Street Stock feature. Charles Toomey rolled in second, with Ty Crisp in third, Lynn Birchfield in fourth, and Jeff Jackson in fifth.
In Pony action, Marty Cook picked up the win. Jamie Cross came across in second, followed by Shannon Jones, and Eric Birchfield.
Mitchell Lance was the Front Wheel Drive feature winner.
