Neumann, Jr. Nabs Open Wheel Mod Win At Citrus County

Hometown Hero Herb Neumann, Jr. beat out a strong field of 17 Open Wheel Modifieds Saturday night to score the feature victory at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, FL.

Neumann, Jr. beat Hernando, Floriday’s Richie Smith to the checkered flag to grab the win and a trip to Citrus County’s victory lane.  Roger Blevins crossed the finish line third, with Steven Hise in fourth, and Tommy Schnader in fifth.

In other action, Aaron Williamson crossed the finish line first to win the Sportsman feature.  Mike Bell came home second, with Andy Nicholls in third, Jay Witforth in fourth, and Mark Peterson in fifth.

Kevin Stone proved to be the man to beat in the Mini-Stocks feature, as he beat out Jesse Mallory for the win.  Jerry Danielsville finished third, with Jason Terry in fourth and Shannon Kennedy in fifth.

In Pure Stocks action, it was Karlin Ray picking up the win.  James Johnston finished second, with James Holly, Mike Autenrieth, and Larry Welter, Sr. rounding out the top five.

In Pro Figure Eights, Joey Cantarelli was the winner, with Thomas Peet in second, Eric Sharrone in third, Neil Herne in fourth, and Charlie Meyer in fifth.

Citrus County Speedway is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 23, with racing scheduled for Modified Mini-Stocks, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Hornets and Street Stocks/Pure Stock Figure 8s.  For more info, visit www.citruscountyspeedway.com.
