While many racers around the country wait through cold, wet weather for a chance to go racing, that was not the case for the wheelmen at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, FL, where Hometown Hero Herb Neumann, Jr. topped the Super Late Model field to score the victory Saturday night.
Neumann, Jr. beat out Lakeland, FL racier George Gorham, Jr. for the win. Daniel Keen, Jr. came home third, with Darryl Shelnut in fourth and Mike Bresham in fifth.
Todd Brown, Eric Stokes, Anthony Cataldie, Bryan Dorer and David King rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Jessica Murphy was first across the finish line to score the win in the Pro Trucks feature. Bruce Bennett rolled home in second, with Mica Williams in third, Brian Harbin in fourth, and Jason Rendell in fifth.
Clermont, FL’s Kyle Peters came away with the victory in the Street Stocks feature. Curtis Flanagan, James Peters, Joey Bifaro, and David Kingsbury rounded out the top five.
In the Pure Stocks feature, it was Karlin Ray beating out Larry Welter, Jr. for the win. Morris Richardson finished third, with James Holly in fourth, and Randy Spicer in fifth.
Robbie Yoakam scored the win in the Mod Mini Stocks feature. James Ellis finished second, with Michael Lawhorn in third, Chris Allen in fourth, and Phil Edwards in fifth.
Jerry Heflin won the Pro Challenge feature. Mark Landis finished second, with Randy Click in third, Paul White in fourth, and Zach Ayers in fifth.
