Anthony Anders dominated both ends of the Late-Model Stock Twin 50’s at Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC Saturday night, but Toby Porter saw his name painted on the Wall of Champions as the 2012 Track Champion.

Porter went into the evening hoping to add one more win to his dominating season, where he won 13 races, but he settled for a second and third place finish in the two races and the championship.

Marty Ward, who finished third in the second race, finished second in the points standings.

Anders raced regularly at Myrtle Beach this season, locking up the title there, and the combination of racing two tracks puts Anders atop the South Carolina standings as well.

Anders led from start to finish in both 50-lap races, while Porter and Ward swapped second-place finishes. In victory lane, the always gracious Anders thanked his crew and sponsors for a very good season. In the opening race, Porter has second place pretty much in hand, until Ward passed on a restart on lap 35. Porter finished third, with Bob Root fourth and Asheville’s ‘Iron Man’ Jack Ingram was fifth.

After Anders, Porter and Ward in the nightcap, Tasha Kummer took fourth and Will Ragsdale was fifth.

Porter put on a tire-burning display seldom seen at the historic half mile oval while celebrating his first championship.

Ryan Walker had complete control to take the win and nail down his division title in the Trucks. Tim Lollis was second. Michael Altop finished third and John Martin was fourth.

Greg Darnell returned to racing in a big way, grabbing victory away from division champion Kyle Ballew in Renegades. It was Darnell’s first race in two years. Dale Stancil was third, and Matt Anders took fourth. Bobby Emory was fifth.

Dale Walker had to fight to stay in front of James Johnson to win the Charger division main, and Mike Mote finshed third while locking up division champioship.

Andy Norris was fourth and Stanley Pressley finished fifth.

Tyler Gibson took the win and David Rader took the championship in the Street Stock race. Freddy Hale., Jr. was second and Scott Walker third. Furman Craft was fourth and Kirk Gibson fifth.

Austin Heil won the Four Cylinder main, and James Madden the championship. Tommy Davis, Jr., was second in the main, and Danny Heil was third. Buck Simmons was the fourth place finisher and Ray Mullinax was fifth.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27 for the rescheduled NASCAR K&N Pro East race, which was rained out on its original Sept. 3 date.  Visit www.greenvillepickens.com for more info.
