Tyler Millwood took the initial lead in the Super Late Model Championship feature Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, and looked to be on the way to repeating last weeks success.

By lap five Millwood suddenly found himself racing side by side with Chip Brindle. After several laps, Brindle took the lead and began to extend the distance between himself and Millwood. Brindle looked to be untouchable until he suddenly slowed coming down the frontstretch handing the lead back to Millwood. With no caution Millwood took the lead and never gave it up again.

As the race went on, Jason Croft, who was making his return to Dixie after blowing a motor several weeks ago, raced his way to second after passing Ricky Williams for the runner up position. Toccoa, GA’s Casey Roberts made the rare visit and brought his ride home in fourth while Jake Knowles made a late race pass on his cousin Tony Knowles for the fifth spot.

Championship titles were on the line in all other classes for the night as well. Bunch was uninjured in the altercation, although his night ended early. Oliver Gentry followed Pritchett in second while Alan Brewer, Cass Fowler, and Jimmy Price followed in third through fifth.

Phil Coltrane found his way back to victory Lane in the Crate Late Models for the second week in a row. Austin Smith found the groove on the outside and made his way past Mark Page for second. Following Page in fourth was his father Chuck Page, while Chuck Padgett finished in fifth.

Kenny Taylor found himself in victory lane in the Super Bomber Championship after a very close race with several cars and avoiding lapped traffic to take the checkered flag. Andy Morris and Kirk Atkins followed in second and third after both made challenges for the lead throughout the feature. Daniel Brewer crossed the line in fourth while Terry Vollrath, in only his fourth ever start, finished in fifth.

The Speedway will take the following weekend off as the track prepares for the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series, which will visit Dixie and Rome Speedways on October 6-7.
