The ninth race in the 2011 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model season will take place at an old, but new, racing facility. On Saturday, July 16, drivers will head to Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia, for the “Racing Radios 100” event, on the new track that replaced the old Peach State Speedway a few years ago. The action at the half-mile facility is expected to be fast and furious for the touring series racers.
In 2007, PASS South raced at the Peach State Speedway with Corey Williams driving on to victory lane over Preston Peltier. Now, in 2011 with the track reconfigured and renamed, Peltier will look to drive on to victory for his first win of the season, something that has eluded him in eight previous races this year.
Series regulars Jay Fogleman, Andy Loden and Stephen Nasse will all be trying to beat Peltier to the checkered flag first to earn their second wins of the season. Meanwhile, after going to victory lane in the last race at Ace Speedway in North Carolina, Ryan Blaney, the first driver to double up this year in the wins column, will look to drive into victory lane for the third time in 2011.
This season, the battle for the top spot in the points has been a dog fight between Fogleman and Blaney, with Blaney leading earlier this year, but Fogleman currently holds the top spot by 12 points over Blaney. Loden, Peltier, Heath Hindman, Steven Legendre, Justin Wakefield, Jimmy Weller, Gray Gaulding and Jody Lavender complete the top 10 in points, and all drivers will look to move their way up the standings with a solid finish or a victory at Gresham Motorsports Park Saturday.

Along with the normal cast of characters that have raced this season in PASS South Super Late Model competition, Georgia racer Bubba Pollard and Alabama driver Augie Grill have both filed entries for the “Racing Radios 100” event, looking to sneak in and steal the victory from the series regulars.
Practice for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South “Racing Radios 100” at Gresham Motorsports Park will take place on Friday, July 15, starting at 6 PM. On Saturday, July 16, pit gates open at 11:30 AM with grandstands opening at 2 PM, the same time practice will start. PASS South qualifying will roll off at 6:30 PM with opening ceremonies and feature racing at 7 PM. Adult tickets are just $15, Senior and Military at $13, and kids ages 12 and under are free. Mini Cups, Renegades, Mini Stocks, Trucks and Outlaw Late Models will also be in competition.
