Greenville-Pickens Speedway’s current points leader, Toby Porter, started on the pole for the main event due to being the top qualilfier, and led every lap to take the checkered flag and pad his points lead and chalk up his ninth victory of the season at the Greenville, SC raceway.

Marty Ward ran a close second to Porter. Bob Root, who had run third the entire race, had problems with three laps remaining, and Joey Collins moved into a third place finish. That left Root and Tasha Kummer fifth in the rundown.

The results of the Late-Model Stock main event were unofficial pending post-race inspection.

In the Truck division main event, it appeared there was a race without a winner. Tim Lollis started in the rear of the field, took the lead on the fifth lap, and with five laps remaining, Lollis’ window net fell.

This caution flag gave Lollis a chance to replace the net, which is necessary due to safety rules. During the caution flag, Ryan Walker, who was running second, had problems and dropped out of the race. Lollis then had engine problems on the 18th lap and was also out of the race.

This development, with the first and second place trucks leaving the race, meant Gene Burnett inherited the lead and scored the win.

“I hate to get a win like that, but a win is a win,” Burnett said in victory lane. Michael Altop was second, with Tim Lollis third and Ryan Walker in fourth.

Tim Crowe grabbed the victory in the Charger main, as Dale ‘Moonpie’ Walker was second. James Johnson finished third with Mike Mote fourth and Andy Norris was fifth.

Dale Stancil led from start to finish in the Renegades main, despite constant pressure from Travis Cox. Brad Burns took third, with Bobby Emory in fourth. Scott Tyner finished fifth.

David Rader went from worst to first in the Street Stock main, with Tyler Gibson, who started on the pole, finishing second. Freddy Hale, Jr. finished third, with Kirk Gibson fourth and Furman Craft fifth.

Buck Simmons could see Tommy Davis Jr., out of his rear window and on both sides, but managed to keep Davis out of getting into his front window for the win in the Four Cylinder main event.

Simmons led the entire race, with Davis in second. Don Tavernia was third, with Danny Heil fourth and Ray Mullinax fifth.
