Elberton, GA’s Chad Hoopaugh showed up and showed off Saturday night at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, dominating the field during the Modified Street feature.
He would kick the night off by winning his respective heat race, earning him a front row starting position as did Hartwell, Georgia’s Justin Dowell.
At the drop of the green flag Hoopaugh would lead the field of eight in a drag race to the first turn. After clearing turns one and two it was smooth sailing for the veteran driver who maintained a comfortable lead over Dowell throughout the twelve lap feature. Dowell would finish second, leaving Bowman, Georgia’s, Rusty Jordan with a third place finish. Chris Jones finished fourth, with Richard Jones in fifth.
In other action, Parker Herring came away with the victory in the Limited Late Model feature. Herring outdistanced Brandon Haley, who finished second. Bubba Russell finished third, with Shane Yarbrough in fourth, and Steve Yarbrough in fifth.
Kyle Mullaney was first under the checkered flag to pick up the win in the FASTRAK Late Model victory. Larry Timms finished second, with Colby Cannon in third, Danny Sanders in fourth, and Nathan Bray in fifth.
In Stock V8 action, Jesse Thurmond topped the field for the victory. Michael Segars ran second, with Otis Fleeman third, Ricky Chamberlain fourth, and Kevin Gooch fifth.
In the Stock Four Cylinder feature, Chris Wilson scored the win, with Adam Smith, Ryan Boles, Cody Byrum, and Dustin Bales rounding out the top five.
Adam Partain ended his night in victory lane after winning the Young Guns feature. Jason Calhoun ran second, with Drew Collins coming home third, and Austin Smith in fourth.
Steven Powell grabbed the win in the Up Front feature. Keith Hix finished second, with Morris Lester third, Seth Brown fourth, and James Goodwin fifth.
