For Jimmy Johnson, a rare Monday race at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway paid off in a big way.
The Memorial Day Weekend race that had been scheduled for Saturday night was rained out. That led track officials to push the event to Monday night.
No matter what the night was, Johnson made it worth the wait, as the Danielsville, Georgia racer scored victories in both the Modified Street and Stock 8 features.
In the Modified Street feature, Johnson beat out Tyler Canup for the win. Jordan Poole followed in third, with Jeffery Lampp in fourth, and Chad Puckett in fifth.
In the Stock 8 feature, Johnson was first under the checkered flag to take the victory ahead of Keith Guy. Trey Pilgrim finished in third, followed by Mark Chancey in fourth, and Zack Stewart in fifth.
In other action, Ken Lampp topped the Limited Late Model feature to score the win. Chris Woods came home in second, with Alex Yarbrough in fourth, Timothy McKeehan in fourth, and Tyler Wood in fifth.
James Cason topped the Hobby 602 feature, with Chris Woods, Nick Sellers, Cade Cagle, and Randy Jackson rounding out the top five.
Kyle Braswell was the winner in the Stock 4A feature. Justin Taylor finished second, with Zack Cox third, Michael Webb fourth, and Glenn Jackson fifth.
Justyn Jacobs crossed the finish line ahead of Mark Proctor for the Stock 4B feature victory, with Bryson Briscoe in third, Adam Jones in fourth, and T.J. Hooper in fifth.
Eddie Segars scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, followed by William Earnest in second, Austin Kinsey in third, Jake McBride in fourth, and Kenneth House in fifth.
