Chris Nickerson Gets Open Wheel Modified Win At Toccoa

Chris Nickerson topped a stout field of Open Wheel Modified drivers to score the feature victory on Saturday night at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway.

The Lula, Georgia speedster held off Late Model regular Kenny Collins to cross under the checkered flag first at the historic 3/8-mile clay speedway.

Brian Nickerson followed in third, with Jimmy Motes in fourth, and Joseph Galloway in fifth.

In other action, one week after recording his first Toccoa Pro Trucks feature, Sammy Calhoun backed it up by scoring his second feature win. Terry Calhoun finished in second, with Bill Pulliam in third, Jackie Davidson in fourth, and Jerry Speed in fifth.

Daniel Wilson took the win in the Limited Late Model feature. Mark Wilbanks and David Conley rounded out the podium.

Ricky Smith came home with the victory in the 602 Sportsman feature, with Brady Cornett in second, John Howard in third, Crandall Turner in fourth, and Austin Fox in fifth.

Billy Buffington was the winner in the Modified Street feature. Chris Thomas followed in second, with Robbie Campbell in third, and Allen Rich in fourth.

Hayden Collett scored the victory in the Stock 8 feature, with Cameron Collett, David Stone, Hunter Pilling, and Terry Calhoun rounding out the top five.

Justin Smith topped the 602 Charger field to take the feature win. Jerry Buice finished in second, followed by Eli Reece in third, Kyle McAlister in fourth, and Frankie Barrett in fifth.

Bobby BoShears was first under the checkered flag to win the Stock 4 feature, with Kenny Phillips second, Randy BoShears in third, and Phil Wood in fourth.

Steven Shedd held off Tony Stevens to win the Front Wheel Drive feature. Austin Kinsey followed in third, with Eddie Segars in fourth, and Josh Campbell in fifth.
