Craft Captures Limited Late Model Victory At Toccoa

Blake Craft held off Kenny Collins on Saturday night to score the Limited Late Model victory at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway.

Craft, from nearby Lavonia, Georgia, bested the eight car field to take the feature win at the historic 3/8-mile clay speedway.

Collins finished in second, with Frankie Beard in third, David McCoy in fourth, and Daniel Wilson in fifth.

In other action, Brady Cornett made back-to-back trips to victory lane. After winning last week’s 602 Thunder Series win, Cornett topped the 602 Sportsman feature Saturday night. Crandall Turner followed in second, with Ricky Smith in third, Joey Johnson in fourth, and John Howard in fifth.

Jay Motes scored the victory in the 602 Charger feature, with Kolten Herbert in second, Justin Smith in third, Hunter Atkinson in fourth, and Kyle McAlister in fifth.

Chris Nickerson was the winner in the Open Wheel Modified feature, followed by Jeff Parson in second. Chris Nickerson’s nephew, Brian Nickerson, came home in third after winning last week’s feature. Chuck Southard finished fourth, with Cy Strickland in fifth.

In Modified Street action, Billy Buffington scored the victory, with Will Beard second, Chad Sexton third, Spud Nicholson fourth, and Dustin Evans fifth.

Matt Ferguson snapped Terry Calhoun’s five race winning streak in the Pro Trucks division by taking Saturday night’s feature win. The win didn’t come easy, as the two battled to the finish line. Calhoun had to settle for second, with Ralph Anderson in third, Bill Pulliam in fourth, and Sammy Calhoun in fifth.

Hayden Collett appeared to be en route to the Stock 8 feature win, but Brady Hunt got past to take the lead and the victory. Collett had to settle for second, with Douglas Stewart in third, Lee Parson in fourth, and Ricky Jones in fifth.

Jamie Massey held off Randy BoShears for the Stock 4 feature win. Bobby BoShears came home in third, with Joshua Williams in fourth, and Phil Wood in fifth.

Justin Harris recorded the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with North West in second, Tony Stevens in third, Austin Kinsey in fourth, and Jacob Trotter in fifth.

Toccoa Raceway is back in action on Saturday, May 14, as the speedway hosts “4 Cylinder Frenzy” for the Southeastern Hornets Association and the Southern Mod4 Mini Association.. Visit ToccoaRaceway.org for more information.
