Ashton Winger made it a home state sweep over the weekend in Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series action at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.
The Hampton, Georgia native won in Friday night’s Billy Clanton Classic, followed by a win in Saturday night’s Hence & Reba Pollard Memorial at the 3/8-mile clay speedway.
On Friday night, Winger took advantage of a late restart to bypass Austin Horton for the lead on the outside line on lap 18 of the 25 lap feature.
From there, Winger paced the rest of the distance en route to the $3,000 victory.
Horton held on to finish in second, with Shane Clanton in third, Brandon Overton in fourth, and Dalton Cook in fifth.
On Saturday, Winger overtook Brandon Overton in the early leaps, and led the rest of the way in the 52-lap feature to take the win and a $10,000 payday.
It marked Winger’s fifth win in five starts at Senoia Raceway on the year, and gave him his seventh career series win.
Overton finished in second, with Ricky Weiss in third, Austin Horton in fourth, and Shane Clanton in fifth.
