Robby Mason Motors To Boyd’s Late Model Victory

Robby Mason finally scored his first Late Model race win of the 2021 season at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Friday night.

The Hixson, Tennessee racer beat out two-time season winner Tod Hernandez to make his first trip of the year to victory lane at the 1/3-mile clay raceway.

Josh Walker followed in third, with Andy Morris in fourth and Gwynn Newby in fifth.

Dewayne Powell, Chuck Christopher, John Ownbey, Rodney Weeks and Lamar Scoggins rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Eli Beets took home the win in the Crate 604 feature. Jesse Lowe finished second, with Booger Brooks third, Sam Seawright fourth and Cody Haskins fifth.

Matt Steward was the winner in the Sportsman 602 feature, with Hayden Swaney, Griffin Alexander, Larry Higgins and Jeremy Broome rounding out the top five.

Duke Lowe crossed the finish line first to win the in the B Hobby feature. Johnny Hughes finishes in second, followed by Eric Hughes in third, Jim Gilbert in fourth and Brandon Francis in fifth.

Jeb Merriman scored the victory in the Beginner feature. Kelby Norwood followed in second, with Cameron Flowers in third, Jordan Sims in fourth and Dustin Skiles in fifth.

Cody Rector took the checkered flag first in the Front Wheel Drive feature for the win, with Larry Patterson in second, James Owen in third, Jason Young in fourth and Alex Cope in fifth.
