Just two weeks after winning the NASCAR Cup Series championship, Chase Elliott is shaping up to have a very busy off-season.

The Dawsonville, Georgia racer announced Tuesday night on Twitter that he will be competing in the Chili Bowl Nationals at Oklahoma’s Tulsa Expo Raceway on January 11-16.

It will be Elliott’s first attempt at the famed open wheel Midget car event, held indoors at the River Spirit Expo Center on a quarter-mile dirt track.

NASCAR Cup Series drivers have seen a lot of success in the Chili Bowl over the past few years, with Christopher Bell winning three times straight from 2017-2019. Kyle Larson snapped Bell’s winning streak with a victory this year.

Elliott previously announced that he will be competing in December’s Snowball Derby asphalt Super Late Model race at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida for the first time since 2015.
