Mother Nature has again put a dent into a NASCAR race weekend.

Wet weather at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has postponed the running of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Boyd Gaming 300 to Sunday evening.

The race will resume one hour after the conclusion of the NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400, which is slated for a 3:30 pm EST start.

The start of Saturday’s Xfinity Series race was slightly delayed because of earlier shower that rained out qualifying for both the Xfinity race and for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event.

The Xfinity Series was about to roll off the grid when the rains returned – along with sleet and hail – again delaying the start of the event. About an hour later, the race finally got underway. The raced made it to the end of the first segment, with Chase Briscoe winning the segment.
