Joseph Joiner swept the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series weekend at Florida’s Southern Raceway.
Joiner, a local hero from Milton, Florida, pocketed a total of $9,000 for winning on both nights.
Joiner set fast time in qualifying on Saturday night and then took the lead at the drop of the green. From there, he went on to score the victory.
David Breazeale and Billy Franklin battled side-by-side for second spot, with Franklin taking the spot.
Breazeale came in third, with Toccoa, Georgia’s Casey Roberts in fourth and Austin Arnold in fifth.
Cartersville, Georgia’ Zach Leonhardi, Cody Smith, Mark Dodson, Steven Jernigan and James Gilmore rounded out the top ten.
In Sunday night action, Joiner again set quick time and controlled the feature from start to finish for the win.
Billy Franklin finished second, with Roberts third, Leonhardi fourth Arnold fifth.
Smith, Jernigan, Bo Slay, Gilmore, and J.C. Wilson rounded out the top ten.
This weekend’s events that were scheduled for Oglethorpe Speedway in Pooler, Georgia and Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, Georgia have been cancelled due to hurricane Dorian.
The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series returns to action on Saturday, September 21 at the I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.
