T.J. Brittain came out on top of a pitched battle for the Crate Late Model victory on Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.
The Centre, Alabama native found an early challenge from Rodney Martin, as the duo battled side-by-side for the first third of the Crate Late Model Championship feature. Once Brittain moved to the point, he never looked go as he led the rest of the way en route to the win.
Behind him, Martin, Colby Kilgore, and Logan Palmer would battle back and forth for second, with Martin finally securing the spot in the end. Kilgore followed in third, with Palmer in fourth and Don Jenkins in fifth.
In other action, Tate McCollum took the lead in the Steelhead/525 feature only to lose it on lap 11 to Cass Fowler. Fowler went on the take his first win of the season while McCollum faded back to third behind Randall Powell. Travis Price finished in fourth, with John Williams in fifth.
Chris Hough finally broke in victory lane in 2019, as he led the entire distance for his first win in the 602 Sportsman feature. Nick May gave chase but settled for second while Chris Sizemore followed in third. Taylor Cole and Daniel Brewer rounded out the top five.
Eric Hamby drove his Chrysler powered racer to his third win of the season in the Economy Bomber feature. Jerry Fowler came home in second, with Dylan Armstrong in third, Dan Meadows in fourth and Randy Smith in fifth.
In the Street Stingers feature, Chris Bragg and Rick Ricks raced side-by-side almost the whole race. That battled ended when a lapped car spun in turn 3, forcing Ricks to check up. That gave Bragg the lead, and he would drive on to the victory. Ricks finished second, with Jason Young third, Allan Goodfriend fourth and Daniel Turner fifth.
