D.J. Shaw drove to an impressive victory Sunday afternoon in the 150-lap PASS North Super Late Model main event at Speedway 95 in Hermon, Maine.
Shaw took the race lead a lap before the halfway point, charging back into contention after restarting from the rear of the field following a pit stop with only 15 laps completed.
Six-time series champion Johnny Clark set sail in front of the field and looked strong over the course of the event’s opening half, seeking his first win of the year.
Mike Hopkins also worked his way past Clark and made a valiant effort to chase down Shaw, but fell short by some four seconds at the checkered flag. Derek Griffith had to settle for third, with Clark in fourth and Travis Benjamin in fifth.
Garrett Hall, Wyatt Alexander, Gabe Brown, Glen Luce and Ben Rowe rounded out the top ten.
The next PASS North Super Late Model race is scheduled for Tuesday, July 3 at Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine. For more information, visit ProAllStarsSeries.com.
