Shane Clanton held off all comers to score the victory in Saturday night’s Super Late Model Spring Championships feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.
The Zebulon, Georgia speedster started the night by winning the pole for the feature. From there, he held off Derek Ellis, who challenged Clanton as he worked through lap traffic.
Despite two cautions, Ellis was unable to mount a challenge for the win, and had to settle for a second place finish.
Jake Knowles finished in third, with Jason Croft in fourth and Aaron Ridley in fifth.
Cass Fowler, Justin Shipley, Lamar Haygood, Dale Thurman and Todd Murphy rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Austin Smith took a big lead en route to his first Steel Head Late Model feature win of the season. Behind him, the rest of the top five waged an intense battle for second. In the end, Bobby Tucker would take the spot, trailed closely by Clay Joseph in third. Jimmy Price came home in fourth, with Chris Fennell in fifth.
Bobby Richey, Jr. scored the victory in the Crate Late Model feature ahead of second place Tate Nichelson. Dawsonville, Georgia’s Matthew Turner finished in third, with Mike Bruner in fourth and A.J. Carlisi in fifth.

Daniel Brewer scored his second Super Bomber feature win of the season. His father, Alan, had to settle for second, with Randall Powell in third, Michael Brewer in fourth and Donny Thurman in fifth.
Dan Meadows held off a late charge by Dalton Polston to score the Economy Bomber feature win. Andrew Moody, Kyle Beavers and Reggie Williams rounded out the top five.
Casey Creighton took the win in the Championship Stinger feature, with Byron Sisson in second. followed by Kenny Clark in third, Michael Follmer in fourth and Chris Bragg in fifth.
Kenny Clark was the winner in the rain delayed Street Stinger feature, which had been pushed back from March 11. Chris Bragg finished second, with Michael Follmer third, Buddy Edmondson fourth and Chris Woodall fifth.
Attention now moves to Dixie Speedway’s sister track, the half mile Rome Speedway in Rome Georgia, as the raceway will host the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series for the Rome Rumble on Sunday, April 23.
Dixie Speedway returns to action on Saturday, May 6 for the 48th annual season opening race, featuring a full race program.
