Starting it out with two wins.
That’s just what David Roberts did Friday night at Anderson Motor Speedway, as he drove to his second straight Late Model Stock victory at the Williamston, South Carolina raceway.
The Simpsonville, South Carolina racer started the feature on the outside of the front row, but soon moved to the top spot. From there, the defending division champion went on to hold off Luke Sorrow for the win.
Colby Howard finished in third, with Neil Meredith in fourth and R.A. Brown in fifth.
In other action, David Darnell also made it two-for-two on the season in the Mini-Stock division, as he held Jeffrey Kummer at bay to score his second straight feature win. Ben Kay finished in third, with Ryan Howard in fourth and B.J. Thrasher in fifth.
The repeat winners continued in the BM Modifieds feature, as Chuck Mitchell made his second trip to victory lane in as many weeks in the BM Modifieds feature. Brandon Segars finished in second, with Austin Northcutt third, Mitchell Stone fourth and Tim Leonard in fifth.
Shane Brown broke up the trend by winning in the Renegade feature. Last week’s winner, Billy Brown, finished second, with Chris Whitfield, Jonathan Ragsdale and Mark Sullivan rounding out the top five.
Sam Mayer took the victory in the US Legends feature. Michael Womack finished in second, with Justin Ashley in third, Jordan Black in fourth and Carson Ferguson in fifth.
Tommy Davis was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Jason Richey finished second, with Scott Parker third, Carey Smith fourth and Chris Harvell fifth.
Anderson Motor Speedway returns to action on Friday, March 31, featuring racing from the Late Model Stocks, Super Limited, BM Modifieds, Mini Stocks, US Legends and Front Wheel Drives.
