Tom Maddox Scores Super Late Model Victory At Rome

Tom Maddox led all the way Sunday night at Rome Speedway to take the Super Late Model feature win at the Rome, Georgia raceway.

Maddox took the lead from polesitter Cody King at the drop of the green and never looked back. Although King was close all night, he was unable to mount a challenge to the leader.

Jason Croft made his way patiently to take third followed by Derek Ellis in fourth and Dale Thurman in fifth.

Jason Smith took the pole and the feature win in the Steel Head Late Model feature. Chris Fennell came home in second, with Oliver Gentry in third, Tod Hernandez in fourth and Mario Gresham in fifth.

Hunter Jones bested brother Jake Jones for the pole position in the Crate Late Model feature and went on to lead flag-to-flag for the victory. Cruz Skinner followed in second, with Mike Bruner making his way from near the tail of the field for third. Ahnna Parkhurst finished in fourth, followed by Shane Smith in fifth.

Donny Thurman held off Daniel Brewer to win the Super Bomber feature. Petey Cochran finished third ahead of Alan Brewer in fourth and Randall Powell in fifth. Blant Duke started on the pole of the feature, but was caught up when a group of cars spun coming off turn four on the opening lap. He was clipped in the right rear, sending his car head on into the turn four wall. He was uninjured and able to exit the car on his own power.

In the Economy Bomber feature, Eric Hamby scored the win, with Corey Wright, Landon Bagby, James Swanger and Taylor Cole rounding out the top five.

It was a rough and tumble night for the Street Stingers, as Cody Sisson survived a night of bumper cars to beat out Randy Ledford for the win. Robert Farmer took a wild ride down the frontstretch on lap one, flipping several times. He was uninjured other than bruises and a cut on his elbow.

Jeff Peardon finished the feature in third, with Melissa Dempsey in fourth and Chris Langford in fifth.
