Kenny Collins was not to be denied Saturday night.
The Colbert, GA hot shoe powered his way to the front of the Limited Late Model field, and went on to hold off David McCoy for the 2015 All-Star Challenge victory at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.
Along with the winner’s trophy, and the satisfaction of beating out McCoy, who has been one of the toughest competitors this season on the North Georgia dirt tracks, Collins pocketed a $1,000 payday for his hard work in his C&P Racing mount.
Ashley Poole finished in third, with Stephen Segars in fourth and Chris Nickerson in fifth.
Chad Puckett, Dustin Cason, Mike Kernells, Jimmy Johnson and Jesse Ivester rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Larry Timms edged out David McCoy to take home the win in the SECA Pro Late Model feature. Grant Jordan finished in third, with Spanky Barnett in fourth and Russell Fleeman in fifth.
In the Hobby feature, Michael Lyons scored the victory, with Cody Segars in second, Scott Kennedy in third, Jody Russell in fourth and Greg Scoggins in fifth.
Chris Jones was the winner in the Modified Street feature. Wormy Gaddis finished second, followed by Trey Ridgeway in third, Robin Collins in fourth and Josh Hardegree in fifth.
Ricky Mauldin took the win in the Stock V8 feature. Keith Ross, Terry Brown, Rocky Jones and Jeremy Jones rounded out the top five.
In the Stock Four Cylinder feature, Ryan Boles took the win, with Chris Cape in second, Jeremy Hicks in third, Shane Strickland in fourth and Mason Tucker in fifth.
Trey Chapman won the Up Front feature. Landon Mack finished in second, with Justin Sorrow in third, Steven Powell in fourth and Joel Powell, Sr. in fifth.
