Russell Fleeman drove to the front of the SECA Late Model field Saturday night at Hartwell Speedway, and went on to pick up the feature victory at the 3/8 mile Hartwell, GA dirt track. Fleeman beat out Adam Partain to score the win.
The Dacula, GA driver has long been noted as an asphalt veteran on paved short tracks around the southeast, notching championship in the Georgia Asphalt Series and Super Six Series, as well as winning the prestigious World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park in 2008.
This season, Fleeman has turned his attention to dirt track racing. Saturday’s win is his second SECA Late Model feature win of the season.
Chris Cape finished in third, with Danny Sanders in fourth and Nathan Bray in fifth.
In other action, David McCoy was the winner in the Limited Late Model feature, with Brant Carey in second, Wesley English in third, Ashley Poole in fourth and Stephen Segars in fifth.
Rod Roberts took the victory in the Hobby Stock feature. Shane Yarbrough finished in second, with Cody Segars in third, Jody Russell in fourth and Nick Sellers in fifth.
David Archer took top honors in the Modified Street feature. Kole Hardy, Daniel Snow, Robin Collins and Trey Ridgeway rounded out the top five.
In the Stock V8 feature, Ricky Mauldin took the win, with Rocky Jones in second, Jeremy Jones in third, Wayne Chapman in fourth and Joel Powell in fifth.
Mason Tucker scored the Stock Four Cylinder feature victory. Jeremy Hicks finished in second, with Dustin Bales third, Shane Strickland fourth and Brandon Long fifth.
Trey Chapman was the winner in the Up Front feature, followed by Steven Powell in second, Jason Richey in third, Justin Sorrow in fourth and Lisa Calhoun in fifth.
