Michael Page moved to the lead for the final time just past the halfway point of Saturday night’s Super Late Model feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, and drove away to score the victory.

The race saw three wide racing from the drop of the green flag, as Johnny Chastain took the early lead over Page with Jody Knowles close behind. Chastain held the lead until a caution flag on lap eight bunched the field back up.

On the restart, Page made his presence known as he put and Chastain ran side-by-side, swapping the lead back and forth with neither getting an advantage over the other. As the race hit the halfway mark, Page made the final pass for the lead, and pulled out to a straightway lead over the field.

Page went on to score the win, with Chastain in second. Knowles held on for third, while Luther Jenkins finished in fourth trailed by Dale Thurman in fifth.

Dale Thurman, T.J. Reaid, Derrick Rainey, Aaron Ridley and Kurt English rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Don Jenkins topped the field on Championship night for the Steel Head Late Models, and he held off Scottie Pritchett for the feature win. Brian Jackson finished in third, with Chuck Padgett in fourth and Chris Sizemore in fifth.

Jason Deal scored his first ever victory at Dixie Speedway in the Crate Late Model feature, leading wire-to-wire. Zach Pilcher followed in second with Shane Smith third, Jake Jones fourth and John Williams fifth.

Justin Begley took the lead of the Super Bomber race on lap two and went on to record his second feature win of the season over Andy Morris. Richard Goode, Randall Powell and Brant Hardin rounded out the top five.

Austin Smith picked up his fifth Economy Bomber feature win of the season when the apparent winner was protested and refused to tear down. Even with that, it was not an easy win, as Smith had the lead early in the race and spun on his own, sending him to the rear of the field for the restart. Smith had made his way back to second by the time then checkered flag flew, and was then being declared the winner post-race. Kyle Beavers ran second with Landon Bagby advancing to third followed by Ryan Ray in fourth and Tyler Williams in fifth.

In the Pony Stock Feature, Ronnie Faucett looked to be the one to break the five race winning streak of Jamie Cross until lap 10. With a healthy lead, Faucett began to slow down, heading to the pits with alternator problems. Cross suddenly found himself en route to win his sixth win in a row. Jason Verong followed in second with Mitchell Pope in third, Bo Jordan in fourth and Donny Burns in fifth.

Anthony Pittman took the win in the Cruiser feature over Edwin Scott, with George Wilson third, Randy Ledford fourth and Jimmy Wilson fifth.

Dixie Speedway returns to action on Saturday, June 20, with a full race program including Championship races for the Super Bomber and Crate Late Model divisions.
