WOODSTOCK, GA – With the final weekend of points racing, several divisions were up for grabs leading up to Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA.

Jason Croft made every lap count in the Super Late Model feature as he led the entire distance for the win. As Croft took a healthy lead, everyone was watching the car of points leader Michael Page who started sixth, but could only manage a fourth place finish setting up the final race at Rome Speedway in Rome, GA the next night with a dead tie between the two for the championship. Completing the top five were Croft, Ray Cook, Luther Jenkins, Page, and Preston Graves.

It was double feature night in the Steel Head Late Model feature Saturday night due to last week’s race being postponed due to curfew. In the first race, Chris Fennell took the point at the green flag leaving a three wide race for second between Michael Brewer, Don Jenkins and Scott Hall. Brewer took firm hold of second while Oliver Gentry made his way into the fray to grab third. Don Jenkins finished fourth with Matt Dooley in fifth.

The second feature was the scheduled championship race. Don Jenkins took the win with a straightaway lead over Chuck Padgett in second. Oliver Gentry placed third once again followed by defending champion Chris Fennell in fourth and Scott Hall in fifth.

Andy Morris had a lock on the Super Bomber championship and only had to focus on winning Saturday night. He was denied the win when Ronnie Haynes drove past Daniel Brewer on lap seven to go on to his first ever win. Morris followed in second with Daniel Brewer in third. Tom Watson and Roy Patterson completed the top five.

With points on the line, Dan Meadows gave all he could to pad his lead with another Economy Bomber win, but fell short to Ryan Ray. Ray took a healthy lead to gain his second win of the season, trailed by Meadows in second. John Davis came home in third followed by Drew Larson and Landon Bagby. David Burtz struggled all evening finishing seventh giving Meadows a 20 point lead going into Sunday’s race at Rome.

Jake Jones, the defending Pony Stock champion, took the initial lead in the division’s feature only to be passed by Shannon Ethridge and Jeremy Millsaps midway through the feature. Jones held on for a third place finish followed by Christopher Ethridge and Mitchell Pope.

Double features were on the card for the Cruiser feature also due to last weeks curfew and up first was the championship event held over from last week. Once again, it was Todd Lankster in victory lane for win number nine of the season at Dixie. Edwin Scott followed in second trailed by John Sexton in third, George Wilson in fourth, and Tim Pittman in fifth.

In the regular scheduled feature, it was Lankster once again out front ahead of Scott. Wilson moved up a notch to get third followed by Chris Neese in fourth. Sexton completed the top five.
