Kyle Bronson inherited the lead with 10 laps to go after a hard battle with Keith Nosbisch, and would go on to score the Late Model feature victory Saturday night at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL.

Nosbisch and Bronson would start the night on the front row. The action broke out on the first lap, as four cars tangled, with Kyle Musselman ending on the front nose piece of Jamie Slatton at the exit of turn four. All cars were able to continue.

On the restart it was Nosbisch taking the lead with Josh Peacock and Bronson trailing behind. Caution flew again on lap seven when Dalton Myers spun in turn two. The yellow flag would fly again on lap 14 when David Pollen, Jr. slowed on the track.

On the restart Bronson was right on the back bumper of Nosbisch as the two went into turn two with Nosbisch sliding into the backstretch wall. Nosbisch appeared to have broken, his night was over.

Bronson led the field for the final 10 laps en route to the victory. Jack Nosbisch, Jr. finished in second, with Bryan Bernhardt in third, David Schmauss in fourth and Kyle Mussleman in fifth.

In other action, the Outlaw Fours opened up the night, with Thomas Braswell and Nick Hebrank leading the field to green. Hebrank quickly took the lead, and would pace the feature until the first caution flew on lap 10 when Don T. Quinn spun in turn four. Back under green, Hebrank would hold the lead until lap 13, when Brandon Yates got alongside, with the two leaders racing side-by-side at the finish line. Caution flew again on lap later, when Quinn spun again, this time in turn four. Raymond Rogers, Jr. was left with nowhere to go, and piled into Quinn. Both drivers’ nights were over.

Hebrank would jump back to the lead on the restart, and would drive away for his first feature win. Zach Amundsen finished second, with Yates third, Braswell fourth and Don R. Quinn fifth.

The Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds were next with Nate Bregenzer and Buzzie Reutimann making up the front row for the feature. Reutimann jumped out to the early lead with Bregenzer on his tail. Bregenzer would challenge Reutimann lap after lap, but Reutimann would hold the lead each time. The first caution flew on lap two when Travis Varnadore looped his car around in turn four. Back under green, Reutimann found himself under fire from Austin Sanders, as the duo raced side by side for the lead. It came to an end on lap eight when the two got together, resulting in Sanders spinning to a stop in turn four.

In the end, it was Reutimann scoring the victory. Travis Varnadore came home second, followed by Bregenzer in third, Sanders in fourth and Tim Gay in fifth.

The Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks next took to the track. Matt Bozeman and Jeff Rodgers brought the field to green, with Rodgers inching out to the lead. Thomas Burnside and Rodgers fought side by side for the top spot on lap three, but both would see their nights take a bad turn when they tangled in turn four, sending both drivers spinning.

That put David Barwick, II in the lead, with Buck Woodhouse, Justan Rodgers, Billy Barstow and William Burnside giving chase. After several more cautions flew, the race would end on the time limit rule, with Thomas Burnside recovering from the early spin to score the win. Woodhouse, Barwick, II, Jeff Rodgers and Justan Rodgers rounded out the top five.

The final feature of the night went to the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers with Terry Cannon and Traci Humfeld would make up the front row for the 15 lap feature. Stephen Morris would lead the first three laps until Patrick Fiore, Sr. moved to the top spot on lap four. The first caution of the event flew on lap seven when a wheel came off of Terry Cannon’s car, ending his night. The race took a big turn on lap nine, first when second place Wayne Kissam slowed with a flat right front tire. Suddenly, Fiore, Sr. slowed with a problem, handing the lead to George Handy. Handy would go on to score the win. Stephen Morris finished in second, with Richard Humfeld in third, Jimmy Williams in fourth and Kayla Jones in fifth.

Racing continues next weekend with East Bay Sprints, Limited Late Models, V8 Warriors and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers. For more info, visit eastbayracewaypark.com.
