It was Championship Race night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night. Ray Cook, of Brasstown, NC took the pole and went on to win for the second straight week at the speedway. The rest of the top five was up for grabs as several position changes were made throughout the race. Michael Page bumped his way into second on a lap 17 restart. Following Page were Donald McIntosh, Doug Stevens, and Jake Knowles.
Jason Williams held off early challenges from Alan Brewer to take the Limited Late Model Championship. Brewer in turn held off Oliver Gentry followed by George Ervin and Shane Chitwood.
The Crate Late Model Championship would have a popular winner as the crowd cheered for Vernon Smith, who took his first feature win at the speedway since 2003. Craig Reece forced his ride under Maddie Crane to take second. Crane recovered to finish third, followed by Doug Ludwig and Pete Cochran in fourth and fifth.
Kirk Atkins took the checkers in the Super Bomber feature, outrunning Ted Minnix who pressured Atkins to the final laps. Randall Powell followed in third with Daniel Brewer and Richard Bagby completing the top five.
In the Economy Bomber Championship, Greg King made his way around Carl Richards on lap 13 and went on to victory lane. Richards settled in second followed by Shane Smith, Wesley Scott, and James Gagnon.
Shannon Etheridge found himself in victory lane once again in the Pony Stock Championship after the apparent winner failed post race inspection. Ronnie Faucett then moved up to second followed by Jake Jones, C.J. Dettmar, and David Kirkland.
Jimmy Wilson took the Cruiser Championship followed by Timmy Ragsdale, Randy Ledford, Brandy Brewer, and Charlie Ivey.
