Despite the heavy down pours in Hartwell, GA on Saturday, somehow Hartwell Speedway managed to remain on the outskirts of the big rainstorm and was able to put on an action packed night of racing for all seven divisions and then some, with a total of ten features as the track made up several events from a July 6 rainout.
Adam Partain and Jeremy Hicks both made it to victory lane in Young Guns action. Partain beat out Mason Tucker for the win, with Mitchell Ledford finishing in third, Jessica Still in fourth, and Hicks in fifth.
Hicks would score the win in the make up feature from July 6. Tucker would finish second, with Partain in third and Still in fourth.
In other action, Stephen Segars scored the Limited Late Model feature victory. David McCoy came home in second, with Brant Carey in fourth, and Ted Crunkleton in fifth.
Jimmy Johnson would pick up the July 6 make up race win for the Limited Late Models, with Brandon Puckett in second and Shane Yarbrough in third.
Jimmy Ivester came home with the victory in the FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature, beating out Adam Smith at the end. Dustin Mincey finished in third, with Colby Cannon in fourth and Grant Jordan in fifth.
In Modified Streets, it was Paul Byrum first across the finish line for the win. Chris Jones, Rusty Jordan, Butch Shepherd and John Teasley rounded out the top five.
Cal Moon topped the field to win the Stock V8 feature. Jesse Thurmond finished in second, with Keith Teasley in third, Tyron Anglin in fourth, and Danny Murray in fifth.
J.J. Garrett was the man to beat in the Stock Four Cylinder feature, as he came away with the victory. Chris Wilson finished in second, with Brent Couch in third, Cy Strickland in fourth, and Harley Holden in fifth.
The Front Wheel Drives ran two features on the night, with Wayne Chapman sweeping both events. In the first event, Chapman beat out Michael Mosley, John Wells, Trey Chapman and Jackie Holden
In the July 6 make up race, Chapman outran Trey Chapman, Joel Powell, Mosley, and Justin Sorrow.
